| Scholarships
and Funding
When considering
studying in the UK it is important that you think about how you are
going to pay for your studies well in advance. The cost of studying
in the UK can be expensive, particularly for many international students,
and it is advisable that you have all (or at least the majority) or
funding in place before you arrive in the UK.
As
well as our own guide to the cost
of living and studying in London you can also find an alternative
guide at studyuk
and in the fees section of the educationuk
website. Please remember that these guides can only provide rough
estimates and will obviously vary greatly according to your personal
circumstances.
For those who are unable to meet the cost of study themselves there
are sometimes scholarships available to assist students. Some universities
run their own scholarships schemes where they may waive, or reduce,
tuition fees for students in certain circumstances. In order to find
out if the university/college you are interested in runs such a program
you will need to contact the institution directly, usually through
the International Office.
Please remember that in almost all cases scholarships have to be applied
for before you come to the UK. There are very few programmes that
will be able to assist students who arrive in the UK without their
funding in place first.
More
information about scholarships is available from the following.
